Andrew Kasirye is Managing Partner at Kasirye, Byaruhanga & Co. Advocates and an Advocate of the Courts of Judicature and a Senior Counsel.

Andrew is a member of the Uganda Law Society, East Africa Law Society and the International Bar Association.

He is a past President (2002-2004), and Vice President (2000-2002) of the Uganda Law Society. Andrew also served as the first Vice President and Council Member of the East African Law Society (2004-2006).

He heads the Commercial department and his expertise is mainly in Commercial Litigation, Corporate Finance and investment, Arbitration, Oil and Gas and intellectual property. He has appeared in several ground breaking cases setting precedents which have impacted jurisprudence in Uganda

With over 30 years of experience, his practice covers Banking and Financial law, Construction, Commercial Contracts, Litigation and Regulatory Affairs. He has served on two commissions of inquiry appointed by his Excellency the President of Uganda.

He has served on a number of Boards both as chairman and an ordinary Member. He most recently served as the Chairman of the Uganda Retirement Benefits Regulatory Authority (URBRA).
